Masked man robs East Hampton cellphone store: police

EAST HAMPTON, NY – Police are looking for a man who robbed a cell phone store in East Hampton on Wednesday, police said.

According to East Hampton Town police, the incident took place at 5 p.m. at Montoya Communications on Springs Fireplace Road. Witnesses reported that a man wearing a ski mask, a dark colored jacket over a white sweater with dark stripes and dark pants, entered the store and demanded money from an employee while showing this which appeared to be a weapon, police said.

He fled with cash and drove north on Old Fireplace Road in a light gray van, police said.
