Suspect involved in multiple cellphone store robberies is wanted

Violent crime detectives are working to identify the man who robbed several cellphone shops at gunpoint over the past month. The suspect, described as a 30-40 year old white male, has a tattoo on his right calf and earrings in each ear (see attached surveillance photos).

On May 25, the suspect walked into Boost Mobile, 2592 Murfreesboro Pike, and asked employees to put cash in a bag while displaying a black handgun. Another Boost Mobile was similarly robbed on June 20 at 3734 Nolensville Pike.

A Metro by T-Mobile store was robbed on June 4 at 3928 Lebanon Pike and an employee’s phone was stolen as the suspect demanded cash at the checkout. The man showed a handgun during the robbery before leaving the store on foot.

A man with a similar physical description, between 5’8 and 6’0, walked into Boost Mobile, 963 Richards Road, on June 17 and demanded money from the employees. Employees during this robbery did not see a firearm until the suspect left on foot towards Haywood Lane.

The suspect always wears dark clothing, dark sunglasses and gloves during each reported robbery. He always asks that the money be placed in a bag, most often a plastic shopping bag.

Anyone who recognizes him from the attached surveillance photos is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
